Activation
+ How do I activate my maps?
Step 1. Run Quo and go under Help menu.
Step 2. Select Activation from Help menu.
Step 3. Activation window will load. Type in your login details. If you were supplied with an activation code please check the box and enter the code
(the code works only once, if you have previously entered the code you will only need to use your email address and password)
NOTE: You MUST use the same login details you used when buying maps in our Eshop.
Step 4. Click OK.
+ Deactivation/'Activate 35 No Activations Left' or 'Activate 50 Data is Corrupted' error?
You have already Activated Quo on two different computers.
Error can occur when you reformat your hard drive, upgrade windows or change computer more then two times or switch between more then two PCs.
Go to ‘my Quo’ then on the right hand side select ‘deactivation’ then you will pick which computer to deactivate and click ‘deactivate’, if you do not have this option please go to 'help' then 'check for updates' and update to the latest version of Quo.
Note - This feature is only availble in Quo version 2.5.7 and above, if you have an older version of Quo please perform the update by going to 'help' then 'check for updates'.
+ Device is not activated (Repeatedly)
If you keep getting this error it is likely your MAC address keeps changing.
Error can occur when you reboot your computer as it is set to use a random MAC address. The MAC address is used to verify your activation and account.
Check that 'Use random hardware addresses' is set to Off, from the 'Network & Internet' options.
+ Activate 20 / Activate 30 Result is empty
1. If you have the error 'Activate 20 error_wrong_password' you have entered the wrong password.
2. Quo may not be able to connect to the internet, check your security software.
+ Activate 20 error_WrongUniqueKey
Run activation and only enter your email address and password.
+ Activation Codes
1. Activation Codes work only once, the maps are then linked to your email address.
2. If you have already used your activation code you will only need to use your email address and password
3. Activation Codes cannot be reset/released, once they are used
Maps
+ Why do my maps have a red or pink overlay?
This is a function of Quo to show which maps you have installed on your system.
To turn this function on and off open 'Explorer' > 'Loaded Maps' > select the last icon on the right hand side (draw maps tiles areas). This will turn the function on and off.
+ No maps are loaded
Load the maps from the ‘maps’ menu at the top of the screen.
+ Maps not working/showing after updating Quo v2
1. After updating Quo v2 you may need to reactivate your maps by going to 'help' then 'Activation', you will only need to use your email address and password.
2. After an update you will need to load your maps back into the system by going to 'maps' at the top of the screen and clicking on the maps you would like to view.
+ Maps not Activated after entering activation details
1. Check your email for mistakes, it is a common problem where users enter their email address with typo's!
2. Make sure you are using the email address you used when purchasing your maps, the maps are linked to the email address they are purchased with.
Note - If you have contacted us to either transfer/change your email address you will need to use the updated one for activation.

+ Can I download previous purchases?
Go to ‘my Quo’ then on the right hand side select ‘Get Download links’.
Note - This feature is only availble in Quo version 2.5.7 and above, if you have an older version of Quo please perform the update by going to 'help' then 'check for updates'.
Only Maps from 2015 to date are stored on our servers and can be downloaded. Please ensure any earlier maps (pre-2015) are backed-up locally since we cannot re-supply these.
+ How do I backup my maps or transfer them to another computer?
Step 1. Double click My Computer icon on your desktop or in Windows Start menu.
Step 2. Browse to C:/Program Files/Mapyx/Quo v2/ or Go to 'My Documents' then the folder 'Quo2'
Step 3. Copy MAPS and DATA folders if under program files and ‘Quo2’ folder if under documents to a DVD, USB flash drive or any similar media.
Step 4. Copy maps and data folders from your DVD, USB flash drive or any similar media to documents/Quo2 or if you have backed up the Quo2 folder copy the folder into documents.

+ Map, Altitude and Search information is missing
To obtain free and demo maps and data use WELCOME SCREEN inside Quo. By default Welcome Screen pops-up when Quo is started, however if you disabled
this feature, use menu Help > Welcome Screen... On the left side of the Welcome Screen you will see DOWNLOAD buttons for each country Great Britain,
Slovenia and Ireland. Use them to download free and demo maps and data.

Windows 10
+ Does Quo work on Windows 10?
Yes Quo v2 is only supported on Windows 10 but does work on older versions.
+ Windows 10 Activation Failing/Not Responding
A few users have experienced this issue activating Quo v2 on Windows 10. If this effects you a solution to this is to run Quo in compatibility mode. Below are instructions:
1. Right click on Quo v2 icon
2. Select Properties
3. Click on Compatibility tab
4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for:
5. In the drop down select windows 7 or windows 8
6. Click OK

Go to ‘my Quo’ then on the right hand side select ‘Retrieve Password’.

+ How to create a route
There are two ways to create a route. Either click on Route icon in main toolbar and then start adding route points on the map or use (mouse) right click on the map. In the menu select drawing option and route. To mark a point on the map, click left mouse button on map, then drag from this point to next route point. To end route plotting, press space bar or top tool bar.
+ How to reposition route points
You can reposition a point by using left mouse click-drag or you can right click on a point. Use right mouse click to access menu, select Change Point Coordinate. A new window will open where you can type in the required coordinate for your point.
+ How to change route layout on a map
To change route outlook use the Route Prefrences found in Project Tab of Explorer window. Select a route in Project Treeview with left mouse click. Prefrences will load. Prefrences under Drawing apply to Route outlook on a map.
+ How to add content to a route
Adding content as files is easy. Right mouse click on the route either on a map or in project treeview and select Manage Content. Use + icon to add files and – to remove files.
+ How to export a route
You can export a route to a File and GPS. First use mouse right click on the route either on a map or in project treeview in menu select export. All three options will be available. First option is export to file, choose from 103 different file formats. Select the file location, file type and file name.
Second option is exporting to GPS device. Before exporting to GPS make sure your GPS is connected to your PC. Select export to GPS. A new window will open where you select GPS device, protocol (USB/Serial) and export your route to GPS.
+ How to import a route
You can import a route from a File, GPS device or Quo 1.x project. Click Import from Main Toolbar, select File to import. From the dialog box, browse for your (file) route location on your harddrive and select the file format type. To import from GPS select Import from GPS device. Set a prootocol (USB/Serial) with which your GPS device is connected to your PC and select to import Routes, Track and Waypoints. To import as Quo 1.x project file select this option from Import from window, browse for the file and import it.
+ How to create Route card
To create a Route Card right click on route either on a map or in project treeview. In right mouse click menu select create Route Card. Create Route Card window will load. On Information tab input all the general information about your route, party and time. On options tab you can set different rules for calculating estimated time of arrival. You can use Naismith with Trantners Corrections or Quo unique time rule. Once set click finish to view your route card. Route card can be printed or saved as html file.
+ How to create a Route Profile
To create a Route Profile right click on route either on a map or in project treeview. In right mouse click menu select create Route Profile. Profile window will load. You can save profile as image file or print it out. To change the outlook of a Route drawn on Route Profile use Route properties(Route Card and Profile) in Project tab on Explorer window.
+ How to compare two Routes on a Profile Graph
To compare to Routes on the same profile graph add both routes to profile graph by right clicking on route either on a map or in project treeview and in right mouse click menu select add to profile. To change the outlook of Routes drawn on Route Profile use Route properties (Route Card and Profile) in Project tab on Explorer window.
+ How to print a Route
To Print a Route right click on route either on a map or in project treeview. In right mouse click menu select Print. Print window will load. Select the printer, page setting, print options, map type and map scale. In the next step you will have pages on your map to change page position use left mouse click-drag to reposition the pages. Add or remove pages by using + and – icons.
+ How to quickly print map area currently on screen
Press F2 key on your keyboard.
+ How to change my map folder
You can move your Maps folder to a different drive, other than the drive where the main Quo program is installed. Copy the complete maps folder to new location and change the path in Quo Prefrences Folders Tab. You will find Preferences under Edit menu.
+ How to change coordinate system used
To change the coordinate system right mouse click the coordinates at the bottom of Quo program(Status bar) window and select different coordinates system.
+ How to change units used
To change the coordinate system right mouse click the units at the bottom of Quo program window(Status bar) and select different units system.
