This Policy applies to both Companies and the name Mapyx is used within this Policy for simplicity. The following information outlines what information we collect, what we do with it, and how you can determine how information about you is used.

Information Collection and Use

Mapyx Limited is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Mapyx Limited collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Registration

If you wish to download Mapyx software, make a purchase, participate in a contest, or receive information, we will ask you to register. During registration you will be required to provide your contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used by us to contact you about the services on our site for which you have expressed interest.

Order

We request information from you on our order form. Here you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address). We utilise third parties such as Paypal and Barclaycard for financial transactions and therefore have no access to financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). We can only access names, address and payment dates. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch you.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work or work more efficiently, as well as to provide business and marketing information to the owners of the site.

(for more detailed information on cookies visit www.allaboutcookies.org. This link will take you to another site and will open in a new window. Mapyx is not responsible for the content of other websites)
Three types of cookie may be used during your visit to mapyx.com:
  • Session cookies that are deleted after each visit.
  • Persistent cookies are valid across visits and, for example, are used to remember who you are (but not using personally identifiable information)
We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information along with details of visitor behaviour patterns. This is used to determine such things as the number of visitors to various parts of the site. We also use Tawk.to, to provide chat based customer support.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing

We do not share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. We use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. Please note that if using any form of Location Services via Mobile Apps, you will be disclosing your location to third parties, such as Google and must abide by their specific terms and conditions; we have no access to this location data.

Links

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Security

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as name, email, telemobile nos and address), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Apple's Safari, Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.

We do not store credit card numbers. During the ordering process this data appears as illegible characters and is not stored as clear text. It is not retained or stored on our servers after you have completed a transaction. We use Paypal and Barclaycard, who have their own Privacy Policies.
If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to privacy@mapyx.com .

Special Offers

We send all new customers and registered visitors a welcoming email to verify their selections. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

Site and Service Updates

We also send our customers product announcement updates. Customers are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the products they use. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in reference to issues relating to their account via email or direct mail.
