OS OpenData - FREE for YOUR QUOOn 1 April 2010 Ordnance Survey announced the launch of OS OpenData which is an online portal providing FREE and
unrestricted access to a large range of mapping and geographic information.
This means that anyone can download the data, BUT you still need some form of digital mapping system to be able to use the data effectively AND the OpenData is not in Quo format so cannot be easily imported into our leading digital mapping software "Quo" in a useful format.
So we at Mapyx want to provide you with the solution to be able to use these products in Quo FREE OF CHARGE.
So the first release of FREE OS OpenData PRODUCTS from Mapyx are as follows:
NOTE: To download your free product just follow normal order procedure, when you click buy you will be redirected to download page. You won't be asked for payment unless you add a priced product to the basket. In such case you will be asked to pay for the product before having the ability to download your free product.
So not only are we the best value digital mapping software provider in the UK market, we have now gone to the next stage and gone FREE with these great OS OpenData products.
AND, Mapyx will be looking at the other OS OpenData products to bring you more FREE DATA in the very near future.
As you know, we are very proud of our support and relationship with Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW). We are rolling out "Quo" and our Search & Rescue Management Solution "SARMAN™" to selective groups in the next two weeks with a full roll-out to the whole of MREW of "Quo" and "SARMAN™" on 16 May 2010. So if you are out there in the hills and get into trouble, you will know that the Mountain Rescue Experts will be there to help you and be using Mapyx "Quo" and Mapyx "SARMAN™" to keep you safe.
