PRESS RELEASE: Mapyx launches new version of digital mapping software ‘Quo’; sharper, easier, cheaper OS digital mapping
Mapyx today launches a brand new version of QUO: the revolutionary digital mapping software. Exactly one year after shaking up the digital mapping market Mapyx has done it again with QUO2. Offering a totally new simple interface, powerful features and many other improvements, QUO2 continues Mapyx policy of low-price maps. “Mapyx is proud to have prompted competitors to re-think their pricing, but we’re still far cheaper” said Mohan Sahota, a director of Mapyx Ltd.
The upgrade is free to existing users and Mapyx also offers Ordnance Survey map upgrades at cost price. Mohan continues; “This means that, unlike users of competitors’ software, Quo customers can now enjoy the latest software and their investment in OS maps without breaking the bank.”
“Over the past 12 months Mapyx has gained a reputation for great support and customer service” said Uros Pecek, a director of Mapyx Ltd. “This launch underlines our commitment to quality digital mapping products at fair and affordable prices.”
Praised by experienced users for the wealth of features on offer; customers new to digital mapping products will find QUO2 easy to use. QUO2 retains all the powerful features customers would expect to find in digital mapping software, adds many new ones, and has a totally new simple interface – the result of listening to customers and extensive user testing.
Documentation has also been improved and video tutorials are available on the website. QUO2 innovations, with features never seen before include graphically comparing route profiles and special route planning tools for cyclists.
“QUO2 looks great too with maximum screen space given to displaying maps, transparent windows and built-in 3D - it is certainly now the slickest product on the market,” adds Uros.
Pricing too has been radically simplified. Mapyx offers customers a free version, Quo GO, which contains all the product features but with simpler functionality. And Quo PRO, for a competitive price, with no limitations at all. The only optional extras are the mobile version and specialist bird watching and anglers’ diaries.
With any digital mapping software the maps are the most important asset. QUO2 offers the very latest cleaner and sharper Ordnance Survey maps at prices less than half the price of the competition. OS maps can be bought in packs, such as National Parks, GB, England, Scotland or Wales. Or can be bought as individual 1:50k and 1:25k tiles, plus aerial photography.
QUO2 is the digital mapping solution that offers the best price performance combination on the market. As a special introductory offer, Mapyx is asking users of competitor products to send in their Memory-Map, Anquet, Tracklogs or Fugawi proof-of-purchase for a big discount on new QUO2 – cheaper than upgrading existing software.
